Have had these safely locked away for around 30 years now, and figured that with the World Cup coming to SA, there might be some interest in these.

All medallions & stamp impressions are cast from STG-grade sterling silver, and plated in 24ct gold.

    1. SA Wildlife Society Medallion set

In 1976, celebrating its 50th anniversary, the South African Wildlife Society, released a set of 20 medallions depicting South African animals, as a tribute to our wildlife heritage. They were produced by the Africana Commemorative Mint.

The set consists of 24 medallions, each weighing 37 grams, encased in the original wood & leather case, with a velvet inlay & padding, complete with certificate of authenticity.

Smelting of the medallions would amount to over 800 grams of pure silver - handy for keeping those pesky werewolves at bay with a good few silver bullets... and is valued at over R3 000 in silver trade value.

    R4 000.00, negotiable.

    2. South African Stamp Heritage Collection

Released in 1979, this set of 25 proof-quality historic South African stamps commemorates South Africa's postal history, dating back as far as the various iterations of the classic Cape Triangular from 1853..

The set comes in the pictured wooden case, lined in velvet.

A must for any stamp collector!

    R3 200.00, negotiable

    3. 1974/75 South African Postage Stamp Series

In 1973, after years of careful planning, the South African Post Office issued a new series of postage stamps, ranging from 1c, all the way through to R1 in value. This set commemorates all 16 of these stamps in a 50% larger format, showing off every little detail of Ernst de Jong's historic stamp designs, featuring South Africa's renown wild and plantlife.

Velvet-lined wood & leather case included.

    Another must for stamp collectors..

    R3 200.00, negotiable

    4. The Queen's Silver Jubilee - Stamps of Royalty Collection

This 1977 set of twenty-five stamps includes some of the rarest and best stamps in the world (Including the 1954 Penny Red), combining a portrait gallery of British monarchs with a century and a half of turbulent history.

The set comes complete with a velvet-lined satinwood-inlaid wooden display case, and certificate of authenticity.

    R4 500.00, negotiable

Pardon the poor quality cell pics... will update with better quality pics soon.

Bob, just clear something up for me, as I am not in the knowing, the coins, you say they are valued at over 3k but your selling them at 4k. I am sure they are of more value, but is there a way to find out?

    Hey Chowzen

I guess they could be worth more in theory, but I figured I'd just get them sold, rather than being greedy as to the price... if people end up bidding on them, the highest bidder would win.

I think the best place for this would be our local auction website, the last part of your nick.
