I totally agree with this!
To add, this also have an influence on the sales time. Everybody have to wait for the seller to decide who the lucky buyer is, ect...
The question is simple: Should people be allowed to ask for offers in for sale threads?
The reason I'm putting this up is because it annoys me, that so many threads are without prices. People generally know what they want for something, but now (my perspective) they ask for offers in the hope that they will get offered more then what they wanted. If I check a thread and the price of the item is good, I'll be more likely to buy it then if there is no price and I have to pm an offer.
Some people are going to claim that the sellers don't know what the items are worth, this might be true some of the time, but you can search the forum to get an idea of what an item is worth or you could ask in smack talk.
So this is all me, and I would like to know how everyone else feels about this...
(PS. This thread is for discussion purposes only and not to in anyway suggest a change to forum rules)

i agree! the first thing i do when i see something i want and the price is "offers" i pm the guy and ask him a ballpark. he then reply with a ballpark and then i make a offer. put a ballpark of what you want for the item. it is simple!!!!

And I can do as I please by skipping past his thread![]()
Look if he gets more via "offer", so what, it's not like it's affecting your purchasing or sales. In fact it's that person's right to sell at which ever price he wants it to, if he gets R100.00 more he scores.
The fact that you are getting annoyed, annoys me and a few other members, simply because it's the sellers right to sell, trade for or accept "offers" for which ever price fits his pocket, or estimate.
The buyer has to right to offer a different price, submit a offer, or offer a trade if applicable if you get laughed at that is your problem.
If people are moronic enough to offer higher prices that is their problem, gah deal with it.

It annoys the crap out of me that I, the customer in this case, have to run around after the selling getting an idea of value and then sending off a PM. I never make offers, I simply close the thread and look elsewhere. It's not my job to do his research for him.
It's a lot easier to ask for offers than to give a price and just drop the price for two weeks until someone decides to make na offer.
Deal with it.
