A close-up shot of the problem would be helpful.

Did you remove the foam inserts behind the mesh before spraying?

I guess you can use paint stripper on the mesh and then repaint it. Just make sure to spray lightly and multiple coats when you respray.

Is it just the light or is the white on top slightly more off white than the panels? Just nitpicking. Other than that it is looking good.

    Hey man,

looking good, are you planning to do the inside of the case, or is the contrast the look youre going for?

the front mesh is always tricky, but as sabie said, spray LIGHT multiple coats to ensure even colour.

I sprayed a 690's top mesh red a while ago, and even with the red, if you dont do light even coats you can see its uneven.

planning a few mods for the case soon, as well as an update for my modded scout.

Yeah rather get the mesh powder coated, they will sand blast it beforehand to remove all the old paint. Otherwise, get it sand blasted and use multiple light coats as mentioned before.

Thank You for all the positive feedback

With the mesh at the front, I took all the foam out and primed the surface before spraying, but it looks like i was a bit generous with the can and distance. I'll redo the mesh at a later stage when I get a free saturday

powder coating is way out of my budget and too much effort

As for the inside I'm going to keep it black for a nice contrast because I really dig the look

And also I have some red LED fans that I'm going to put in the perspex panel, will update pics when I re wire them and care to put them on

I follow the CMSSC, and saw this scout in the thread, looking pretty damn nice too, inside has been "whitened" too.

Maybe you can get some inspiration from it...

When spray painting, specially grid type material, hang it rather then lying it flat on the floor to spray.
