    Microsoft Wireless Desktop 3000

    Hey guys

Anyone here had any experience with a similar MS wireless product? Im having issues with the keyboard (wireless 3000 v2.0). The damn thing seems to work properly with no lag only at a certain position. I find I have to keep moving the keyboard position to regain connectivity which defeats the purpose of it being wireless. The receiver is plugged into a USB port at the back of the mobo, and my case is under my desk. And quite often the lag starts to happen with typing and is getting really annoying.

The mouse works fine though. And there is only 1 receiver which is for both keyboard and mouse.

Any ideas what can be done?

I can't predict much in this case but generally it's with the signal interference (assuming your battery isn't low). I have the 5000 set and my USB receiver is on my desk with extension to the back of my pc, which is also under the table. I've had some lag with mouse before, and it's because my wireless modem sits in between my receiver and my set. Hope this helps

I think mine may be the same model (will have to check), but one thing I have noticed is that as soon as I change the batteries, it does work better.

Just to clarify though, when you talk about lag on the KB, its a case of you type and the letter you type never comes up or it takes a while to show?
