UPDATE: I have tried KRK KNS 6400 headphones for a week and I think its as good as it'll get at this price point. So I am keeping it! The next improvement (in closed back) is another 400 bucks away at least so I think I will pass on that!

Just a brief comment, I can't use proper audio terms but I'd say I like the detail, though I don't think its all the detail there is. The rest might show up through an external dac or something since right now I am just driving it off my laptop. They do need a bit of burn in and also you gotta get used to them a little since they are studio monitors! PM me if you want details of where you can get them!
