Chatbox : Why is the rum gone ?

Ok so as many have noticed the chatbox is gone. Yes it has been removed and no it wasn't a glitch.

I have asked on a few occasions and the mods have been trying really hard on editing but some people just didn't seem to understand what was being asked of them.

So because of the actions of a few people, I've removed the chatbox. It has been the constant playground of derogatory comments, flames and quite a few truly disgusting links. Push our buttons enough and we act upon it.

We have been lenient and we have been extremely understanding and I believe we have been too soft. I will be taking a closer look at indiscretions and the punishments will no longer be a tap on wrist.

Thanks Luc, that was the breading ground for a lot of stupid comments, hopefully this spread to the rest of the forum as well.

Hmmm... This smacks of a bit of a drama llama!

So because some have complained we are ALL affected by the removal of the chatbox?

If you don't want to see what's going on, quite simply don't look. You can't export all porn on the Internet to be removed because YOU (or a few) don't like it. If you go to a pornographic URL and you get porn, well... What did you expect? If you know that chatbox is there and the comments annoy you, maybe you should just not look if you don't want to take part?

There were no hard and fast rules or guidelines so I don't believe much has been done that is WRONG!

Just smacks of censorship, the opposite of freedom of expression and all the rest of it, in theory I think this is a step backwards.
