And then when you are taken to task, for whatever reason, you have ZERO protection and you are personally liable. Good luck with that.

This is true. Please don't mistake my comments as any form of attack or negativity, I am just pointing out the pit falls as I am sure you are already aware off.
If you are an honest dealer and keep your house in order and records straight I am sure that no client would have any issues with you ;D

Luckily I keep everything on the books and as legal as possible. I Am just now in dealings with SARS on the TAX and registration. As my turnover will not be high enough to have to register for VAT, I won't be charging VAT till it is needed. All I have to do as a sole proprietor is pay income tax on the profit. Unfortunately it is no longer possible to register a cc company as that was what I wanted to do at first
You can still register a CC. But it has to be one that was incorporated before the new Companies Act came into effect. There are loads of auditors and legal firms that have "shelf" CC's. Pre-incorporated empty shells ready to be bought. You can still get one of those as the people stocked up on those when they learned about the act![]()

LOL and how much are you going to pay for that![]()
Incorporation costs vary. But I've seen costs as low as R495.

Must you have a registered business to register as a reseller or can you register as an individual?
