So I bought a 5 bay drobo on the forum a few months ago and I've encountered the dreaded restart loop this week. I've had this before but it always managed to recover by itself after a while or by resetting it manually.

I was installing my CCTV when I accidentally pulled the plug powering the drobo from the wall and since then it hasn't been able to boot up again. I've tried everything I could find on the web or think of but still no luck. Luckily I was in the process of moving over to a NAS so I didn't lose any data.

Any suggestions or should I bin it?

I'm wondering if the power supply might have been damaged when I pulled the plug. I got my brand new S4.

The next day I was still using my S2 as I didn't sync my contacts yet.

I went to the bathroom, early the morning at work, flushed the toilet, took my phone out of my pocket and heard:

PLONK!

I gazed into the swirling water and didn't see my phone.

I used a power word loudly, and stood there amazed and shocked, my phone was gone!

As the swirling water cleared up, I saw that it was still there.

Never before was I eager to stick my hand into the potty, I took the phone out and removed the protective cover, back cover and battery asap.

I rushed home and inserted the phone into a bag of rice and put the same in a place where where there is lots of sunlight.

A week later I turned the phone on and it works perfectly, not a single problem, its as good as new :)

On the one side, I won't be able to sell this phone anymore, knowing it was exposed to water.

On the other hand, I now have an excuse to keep the phone as a spare, so all in all, I pretty happy considering the circumstances.

I have heard about people to whom things such as this has happened, but always thought, that something like this would never happen to me.

All in all, guess I'm pretty lucky and big thumbs up to the galaxy s2!

I want to finance a second hand bike bought privately. Obviously the papers are in order. I am with FNB and I have seen they offer Leisure Vehicle Finance but from what I understand that option only applies to second hand bikes bought from dealerships??

I appreciate your advice..
